Description

Since I left NASA I have retained my affection for the works of wonder that my former colleagues do on a daily basis - most of which gets unnoticed you'll have to take my word on that. Even as I bemoan how long it takes to get things done in my little startup company, I try and remember that, the Cassini probe left the Earth in September of 1997 and didn't even arrive until July of last year. I remember my one time office mate, who was heading up development of one of the many instruments on Cassini had to deliver hardware about three years before that. Talk about your delayed gratification!

So this is dedicated to those who work for years to beat back the darkness of ignorance on the space frontier. It really has nothing to do with what they've found, but really, so what. The things they've found could have very well looked like this as far as anyone knew up until we went there. That is the point of it all. Finding out what is, rather than guessing.
